Description: Created and maintained by the Royal Engineers Living History Group, this site documents the presence and activities of the Columbia Detachment of Royal Engineers (known as Sappers), British Army, under Colonial R.C. Moody, as well as the activities of the North American Boundary Commission and other military operations associated with the colonies of Vancouver Island and British Columbia between 1858 and 1863. The Web site also describes and depicts the activities of the Royal Engineers and Associates Living History Group, which is based in British Columbia and conducts reenactments around BC and Washington Territory's history.
