Title: Metchosin School Museum

Description: Museum located in Metchosin's first schoolhouse built in 1872. According to the site "Metchosin School was the first new school building to be opened in British Columbia after Confederation. The school opened with Mrs Elizabeth Fisher as the teacher with seven girls and three boys as pupils. It remained in use until 1914, re-opened in 1942, officially closed in 1949 then used again for a few years in the 1950's." In 1972 the building was re-opened as a museum.
