Title: Peace River Country Land Settlement Digitization Project to 1914

Description: This site consists of a database of information extracted from over 6,500 land application files for settlers who wished to settle or homestead on land in the Peace River Region of Alberta and British Columbia up to 1914. Extensive background information about the homestead application process and the project are also available. The land application files themselves are preserved by the Provincial Archives of Alberta and the British Columbia Archives.
