"The Archives Research Centre holds a wealth of information relating to the ethnography, settlement and industrial history of the northern Vancouver Island area. Collections include an extensive photograph collection, manuscript files, aural histories, a reference library." Archival holdings are described in the BC Archival Union List and Archives Canada. Appointments for research are recommended. The Museum specializes in sports fishing artifacts and archives, which are described in a sub-site known as the Campbell River Museum Sportfishing Archives.
