Title: Ladysmith & District Historical Society

Description: According to the About page, "The Ladysmith and District Historical Society was incorporated as a 'not for profit society' in 1999.

Its purpose is to preserve the heritage of the town of Ladysmith. As a Society we hope to expand our funding and build a heritage for the town. The Town of Ladysmith has already pledged support and money for our cause. We also volunteer in events in the area. This summer we were able to open the Black Nugget Museum for tours. We have an office in Ladysmith where we are accumulating the past. A number of folk have already taken advantage of our valuable resources.

Soon we expect to be embarking on the creation of a Archive/Museum where people can come and see and research the colourful past of Ladysmith."
